Self-Directed: Ceramic Set #3

Created: Access Art & Design, June 2003.

This is the last of my self directed pieces. It was based on litchen, trying to convey the layered effect that is seen in nature. These were press moulded using slabs of clay and the balls were formed. These pieces stem from abstraction of the natural form into an istallation piece. The first three images are before the final firing, therefore the oxide looks very red. After firing the oxides turn browner.
